The Strong Score v4.0.0
ONE SCORE.
NO MYSTERY.
The score describes trainable physical-capacity reserve. It does not diagnose disease, estimate biological age, or predict an individual's lifespan.
STRENGTH FIRST. HEALTH EVIDENCE WHEN AVAILABLE.
Strength is the only required pillar. Aerobic fitness, often expressed as VO2 max, a 28-day sleep pattern, and body-composition evidence can enrich the score when they are available. Body composition is always optional and never required. Missing evidence stays missing instead of becoming a zero or an invented value. Every input carries its source, date, protocol, and uncertainty range.
BOUNDED WEIGHTS. VISIBLE RULES.
score = round(100 × exp(Σ weight × ln(utility) / Σ observed weight))The Balanced profile uses 45% Strength, 30% aerobic fitness, 15% Sleep, and 10% optional lean mass. Strength, Aerobic Fitness, Recovery, and Custom profiles let a member shift emphasis within published bounds. The score a member chooses is the score ranked in public, with exact weights and evidence coverage visible.
ESTIMATES ADMIT UNCERTAINTY
The visible score range comes from the lower and upper input bounds. Source confidence stays separate from capacity. A wearable estimate is useful, but it is not silently presented as a laboratory test.
STRENGTH GETS ITS OWN MODEL
Each lift starts with a range assembled from established strength formulas. A personal rep curve activates only after six qualifying sets across three sessions and three different rep counts, and only when it performs at least as well on recent held-back data. Projections are capped at plus or minus one percent per week. Suggestions account for the goal, how many good reps felt possible after each set, failures, readiness, and practical equipment increments. The app never prescribes a maximum attempt.
RANKS MAKE THE ARGUMENT VISIBLE
Public ranking is opt-in and compares each chosen result for The Strong Score inside stable age and bodyweight classes. Focus, exact weights, evidence coverage, source verification, freshness, and formula version remain visible. A rank never claims to be a population percentile.
EVIDENCE BOUNDARY
The method is informed by large evidence syntheses and cohort studies on cardiorespiratory fitness, muscle strength, and muscle reserve. Those associations support measuring the capacities. They do not validate a mortality prediction for an individual.
